Sandra Lou Boggs

COLUMBUS - Sandra Lou Boggs, age 74, went home to be with The Lord, on March 2, 2024 with family by her side. Sandy was born on April 10, 1949 in Bud, West Virginia to Harley and Effie Lester. Sandy worked for many years as a journeyman stagehand with IATSE Local 12 and was also a certified machinist. Sandy loved riding her motorcycle on long trips to South Dakota and Montana where she made many friends along the way. She made many family members quilts or pineapple upside down cakes for their happy occasions and worked tirelessly in her flower gardens or updating her house. She also made the occasional trip or ten to Las Vegas and was not shy about tearing up a dance floor if you would play her a good bluegrass tune. Most of all she loved spending time with her family and friends and will be missed by all of them. Preceded in death by her husband, Jack Boggs; parents, Harley and Effie Lester; son, Roger R. Sizemore; brothers, Roger (Helen) Lester, Larry (Nancy) Lester, Mack, Bob and Rocky Lester. Survived by her children, Jimmy (Jennifer) Sizemore, Wendy (Mike) Sizemore, Missy (Bud) Lemaster; step-children, Jenny, Jack, Betsy and Mark; many grandchildren, several great grandchildren; brother, Darrell (Minnie) Lester; sisters, Shady Monfort, Bernice (Kenny) Delong, Patty (Paul) Mechling; sisters-in-law, Evalee, Josie, Shirley; many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Her family and friends will visit from 12-2:00 pm on Monday, March 11, 2024 where a memorial service will follow at 2:00 pm at Advantage Funeral Home and Cremation by Schoedinger Hilltop, 3030 W. Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio 43204.
