Hello, Columbus

- ROZMARIN

Have you taken a trip to a distant corner of the world and want to share your travels? Or maybe you stayed a bit closer to home for your adventures, and that’s exciting, too! ● “Hello, Columbus” would love to have a photo of you and your family or friends at your travel destinations. ● Regardless of whether you are sending us a photo from near or far, choose a vacation photo showing you, your companions, and the Travel page or other item representing Columbus — for instance, a T-shirt or ball cap — and send it to The Dispatch. But please, no submissions from previous years. ● Be sure to include the names and hometowns of the people pictured, from left to right; where the photo was taken; a tip to help other travelers; and contact information for you — email and phone number, please — in case we have questions. ● Submissions can be emailed to Belinda M. Paschal at bpaschal@dispatch.com or or Becky Kover at bkover@dispatch.com.

BEIJING, China – Left to right, Greg Rozmarin and wife Sandy of Beijing, are visited by Greg’s parents, Stacy and Don Rozmarin of Pickerington. They are shown at a temple in Beijing’s Fragrant Hills park that dates back to the Jin dynasty in 1186. The family has numerous tips for travelers. There will be plenty of walking and uneven stairs to navigate throughout Beijing, but the tourist sites are over the top. In addition, the resident children are excited to practice their English with tourists. They also said if you are age 60 or older, most tourist sites are either half-price or free when showing your passport. Last but not least, to pay for items in a fast, convenient way, download the scan app, Alipay, which is how the majority of transactions are processed in China.
