Terry L. Kilgore

-

WESTLAKE - It is with extreme sadness that my sister and I announce the passing of our beloved Father. He had a zest for life and loved spending time with his wife Renee who preceded him in death in June of 2022. Born in Mansfield, OH to his father Kenneth Burr Kilgore and mother Velma Gatton. He graduated from Clear Fork High School in 1966 and enrolled at Wittenberg University to pursue his undergraduate studies to start his journey to becoming an attorney, a career path he decided on as a young man. He was a proud member of Phi Kappa Psi. During the last few years, he had great time reconnecting with his brothers. After graduating with a JD from Ohio State University in 1973, he returned back to Richland County to start his career. He became a partner at Weldon, Huston and Keyser and worked out of his office in downtown Mansfield and had a smaller office in his hometown of Bellville.

Terry was an old school attorney that believed handshakes meant something and he was always up to the task to represent the “little guy”. He chaired the Civil Service Commission and was active in the politics of Richland County. Terry enjoyed games and loved to sail. He enjoyed a good Scotch and would sneak a cookie each night.

Terry is survived by son Todd (Jenny) and daughter Michelle (Aaron). He had three Grandchildren; Michael, Fay and Greta and loved watching them grow up. A visitation for Terry will be held Monday, April 15, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Craciun Berry Funeral Home, 7200 Detroit Ave, Cleveland, Ohio 44102, followed by a funeral service at 4:00 PM.
