Grammy nominated neo-soul chanteuse India.Arie is in the holiday spirit, as she brings her “Christmas with Friends” tour, featuring Jonathan McReynolds, to Midtown’s Minglewood Hall. The show will highlight songs from her recently released holiday collection, “Christmas with Friends.” The album was originally a collaboration with jazz great Joe Sample, but Arie decided to shelve the project after Sample died last fall. Reviving the album — which includes standards like “Silent Night,” “The Christmas Song,” and “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas,” — for release this year, Arie also enlisted several friends to duet with her including Michael McDonald, Tori Kelly, Kem, Gene Moore Jr., and Khristian Dentley of Take 6.
