New Year’s Eve events across city suit all tastes, age groups
New Year’s Eve is just around the corner, and Memphians will have plenty of choices of where to eat, drink and celebrate the end of 2015. Here are a few entertainment options across the Bluff City:
The city’s flagship New Year’s Eve event remains the celebration on Beale Street and in Handy Park, expected to draw more than 50,000 people on Thursday. This year’s festivities kick off at 7 p.m. Though it’s free to attend, only those 21 and up will be allowed in. Beginning at 9 p.m.
there will be music from Gloriana and the Jeff Jensen Band. The evening’s centerpiece, the Hard Rock Guitar Drop, will take place at midnight. Various local television networks as well as CNN are expected to broadcast the celebrations on Beale live.
