A show to cel­e­brate what would’ve been Johnny Cash’s 84th birth­day and to help erect a statue of the Man in Black in Mid­town takes place at the Gal­loway House. The evening be­gins with a pre­sen­ta­tion of “Cash Ris­ing,” a play that recre­ates the first per­for­mance by Cash, Luther Perkins and Mar­shall Grant in De­cem­ber 1954. Then comes a short pre­sen­ta­tion and birth­day cake cut­ting, be­fore a con­cert by Amy Lavere with spe­cial guest Will Sex­ton. The amount of do­na­tions raised will be an­nounced, and the funds will be placed into the pro­ject’s ioby ac­count. 7:30 p.m. $5 sug­gested do­na­tion. Gal­loway House 1015 Cooper St.
