But the Germantown restaurant began to show signs of strain in 2015, even shutting down for dinner some nights; signs posted on the door blamed a lack of good employees.

In September, Steve Barzizza purchased the Germantown location (along with his wife, Catherine, Chris Sadler and Rhonda Barzizza), opened it regular hours, and hired chef Derk Meitzler to start tweaking the menu. About a month ago, the building underwent a renovation that resulted in new windows, a new floor, and updated decor including neutral gray walls.
