Surprise your sweetheart this year with a Valentine’s Date you have never had before. h From fine dining to fondue to brunch, here are five ideas to treat that special someone in your life. Each is a new spot that was not yet open for Valentine’s Day last year. So it’s guaranteed to be your date’s first time to celebrate Valentine’s Day there. h And because Valentine’s Day (Feb. 14) is on a Monday this year, many restaurant­s are starting their romantic celebratio­ns early. Fine Dining: Dory

Dory is Memphis’ only tasting menu restaurant. Opened last spring, the restaurant has already received numerous accolades, including being named one of the Top 10 new restaurant­s in 2021 by USA TODAY.

Dory will offer a special one-nightonly tasting menu on Valentine’s Day. The holiday meal is $125 per person with an optional wine pairing for an additional $50 per person.

If you want to celebrate over the weekend, Dory will be serving its traditiona­l six-course tasting for $95 both Friday and Saturday, Feb. 11 and 12.

Dory also has a cozy cocktail lounge for those wanting to enjoy a glass of wine and a dish or two off its bar small plates menu.

Reservatio­ns are required for the tasting menus. No reservatio­ns are needed for the bar.
