‘Godspell’ at St. Agnes

Audiences will experience friendship, loyalty, love, and community when the curtain rises on the St. Agnes Academy theatre department’s production of “Godspell.” Performanc­es are tonight and Thursday, at 7 p.m. and Saturday at 2 and 7 p.m. in the Sally Wallace Hook Theatre in Siena Hall, 4830 Walnut Grove Road.

Senior athletic clinics

The annual Memphis District Senior Olympics for ages 50+ are scheduled for April 16-27. To allow athletes to practice, free clinics are being held:

Pickelball — Thursday 2-3:30 p.m., at the YMCA Schilling Farms;

Shuffleboa­rd — Feb. 28, 10:30 a.m. and 4:30 a.m. at the Orange Mound Community Service Center, 2590 Park;

Swimming — March 3 and 10, April 7 and 14, 11 a.m. -noon, YMCA at Schilling Farms;

Track and Field — March 9, 1:30 p.m. Fairground­s Track, at Hollywood and Central.

Early bird registrati­on deadline is March 2.

Model auditions

Choral auditions

Rhodes Mastersing­ers, a choral ensemble at Rhodes College, will hold auditions for all voice parts for spring 2012. Open to the public, auditions will be held Feb. 21 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at Evergreen Presbyteri­an Church, 613 University Street (across from the Rhodes campus).

Contact Debbie Smith at smithd@rhodes.edu to schedule an audition time. Individual­s should bring a prepared song in any language (memorizati­on optional). An accompanis­t will be provided.

The Rhodes Mastersing­ers is made up of faculty, staff, students and alumni of Rhodes College and various music profession­als. Dr. William Skoog is the conductor. Rehearsals begin Feb. 28, and the performanc­e is April 28. Works to be performed this spring are W. A. Mozart’s “Missa Solemnis” and Morten Lauridsen’s “Lux Aeterna.”

Spaghetti dinner

Boy Scout Troop 48 is sponsoring their 57th annual Spaghetti Supper fundraiser Friday at Faith Presbyteri­an Church, 8816 Poplar Pike, in Germantown.

The Scouts will be serving from 5-7 p.m. Tickets are $8 for adults, $4 for children.

Free tax preparatio­ns

AARP is offering free tax preparatio­n assistance at six locations until April 17. Volunteers will prepare tax returns and file them electronic­ally with the IRS. No appointmen­ts are necessary. Visitors 60 and older will have higher priority.
