Serving in Christ Outreach needs volunteers to assist with their Turkey Drive 2012 and help prepare 300 food baskets on Nov. 19.
EVENTS
Overton Park Conservancy seeks volunteers for A Magical Night at Overton Park. Tasks include set up, registration, coat check, and greeters on Nov. 10, plus take down on Nov. 11. Make-A-Wish Mid-South seeks volunteers to sell wish stars, collect donations and hold signs during their Season of Wishes campaign. MIFA needs volunteers through Dec. 21 to conduct phone surveys with seniors receiving meal service. Training and a script provided. Youth Villages seeks volunteers to shop and/ or wrap holiday gifts for children, Dec. 1 and Dec. 8.
THE ARTS/MUSEUMS
Memphis Botanic Garden needs volunteers to help with craft and activity stations at Holiday Crafts (through Nov. 25), Snowy Nights (Nov. 23-Dec. 29) and Breakfast with Santa (Dec. 1). Mallory Neely House needs volunteers interested in Memphis history to serve as tour guides. The Metal Museum wants volunteers to assist during their Repair Days. Some tasks include copper cleaning, helping in the family tent, clean up, event assistant.
