Bereavement Mass and Brunch:

Church of the Holy Spirit’s Bereavement Ministry will host its annual Bereavement Mass and Brunch at 10 a.m. Saturday at 2300 Hickory Crest Drive. The Mass is for all who are grieving, whether recent or many years ago. No reservations required, and there is no charge for the brunch. Call 901-754-7146 for information.

Homecoming Stories:

Everyone is invited to hear stories shared by 12 men who are ex-felons in Memphis, at 8 p.m. Saturday at Union Grove Baptist Church, 2285 Frayser Blvd. Free.

Centenary UMC celebrates 147th anniversary:

Centenary UMC is celebrating 147 years of worship at 10:30 a.m. Sunday. Judge D’Army Bailey, retired circuit court judge and one of the founders of the National Civil Rights Museum, will be the featured speaker. Please join the Centenary family and friends in this historic celebration at 540 E. McLemore.

Thanksgiving breakfast:

Christ the King Lutheran Church is celebrating Thanksgiving beginning at 9:15 a.m. with “Cider and Scones” before worship on Thursday. The free light breakfast will be offered in the lobby, with the service of praise through Word and Sacrament beginning at 10 a.m. in the sanctuary at 5296 Park.

Trinity CME Church annual Thanksgiving Day Service:

Trinity CME Church’s annual Thanksgiving Day Service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, at 1096 Thomas. The special guest speaker will be Rev. Willa Ross, pastor of Collins Chapel CME Church.

Thanksgiving Day Eucharist:

All are invited to join the Grace-St. Luke’s Thanksgiving Day service at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, as they give thanks for their many blessings. Thanksgiving Day also marks the church’s birthday as Grace and St. Luke’s churches joined for their first combined service on Thanksgiving Day in 1940.
