March 4-25: Memphis Heritage 2013 Preservation Series — “The Hows and Whys of Preserving Our Past or ... How Did They Do That?”: 7-8:30 p.m. Mondays at Howard Hall, 2282 Madison. The real story about how some of the most successful preservation projects were achieved. Fee is $65; $50 MHI members. March 25: Roundtable on Memphis’ endangered historic properties and what can be done to save them. March 9: Decorative Arts Trust presents Todd Lonstaffe-Gowan: 10:30 a.m. lecture at Memphis Brooks Museum of Art in Overton Park. $7 admission. Longstaffe-Gowan, a prominent landscape architect and historian, talks about “London Squares and Gardens Fit For a Queen.” Call 901-7534060. March 21-23: Memphis Association of Craft Artists “Spring Artisan Market”: 10 a.m.-5 p.m. at Chickasaw Oaks Village, 3092 Poplar. Twenty-three fine craft local artists participating representing mediums of wood, glass, metals, fibers and clay.
