Hancock named finalist for Team USA

Louisville forward Luke Hancock has passed the first step in making the World University Games team.

The Cardinals senior was named Wednesday as one of 16 finalists for USA Basketball’s squad that will compete July 7-16 in Kazan, Russia. The 12-member roster will be announced Sunday.

Hancock was named Most Outstanding Player in the Final Four after scoring 22 points in Louisville’s 82-76 victory over Michigan in the national championship game.
