Man jailed for putting puppy into dishwasher

A man has been arrested after he was accused of putting a puppy in a dishwasher, then running the machine, according to police. The dog did not survive. Marcus Curry, 27, is charged with aggravated cruelty to animals. He is being held on $40,000 bond.

According to police, a witness told officers that Curry admitted to putting the dog in the dishwasher, saying he left the puppy in there “too long.” A second witness also told police about seeing the dog in the dishwasher, and when Curry got the puppy out, it was not moving.

Curry denied putting the puppy in the dishwasher, but admitted to putting the dog in a bag and throwing it into a trash bin.
