Federal Express Corp. plans to begin service to 11 African nations Friday, bringing to 105 the number of countries the Memphisbased air express company serves. Rather than flying directly to Africa, Federal Express has contracted with an agent in Brussels, Belgium, who is in the business of transporting air cargo and express packages to and from Africa, David Shoenfeld, vice president of international marketing, said Monday.
