The Memphis Light, Gas & Water Commission yesterday selected the firm of Thorn, Howe, Stratton & Strong as architects for its proposed new four million dollar building. But the commission bowed its neck in connection with a possible site, including a recommendation that the new building be located on the northeast corner of Main and Beale and become part of a restored Beale Street complex.
