MCS BUTTER COOKIES
Makes 7 dozen.
INGREDIENTS
7 sticks butter or margarine
(see note) 2 cups sugar 6 cups flour 1 teaspoons vanilla
1 teaspoon salt 1 In a large mixing bowl, cream butter with electric mixer until light. Add sugar; cream together until light and fluffy. Slowly add flour, vanilla and salt, mixing to blend thoroughly. 2 Drop by tablespoons onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 7 to 10 minutes. Note: Cookies served in Memphis City Schools are made with margarine.
