Stokes scores 13 in U.S. victory

University of Tennessee junior Jarnell Stokes started and scored 13 points as the USA Basketball Men’s Junior National Team improved to 2-0 at the FIBA U19 World Championsh­ips on Friday. The Americans forced 32 turnovers in a 113-57 preliminar­y-round win over China in Prague. Stokes shot 5 for 6 and had four rebounds and a steal in 13 minutes.

AUTO RACING

Brad Keselowski took his final lead on the 156th lap and went on to a rain-shortened victory Friday night in the NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Kentucky Speedway. Showers halted the race at lap 170 in the scheduled 200-lap event.

Mercedes driver Nico Rosberg clocked the fastest lap in practice Friday for the rain-soaked British Grand Prix, 0.299 seconds ahead of Red Bull driver Mark Webber at Silverston­e, England.
