Launch party
Downtown Memphis Commission, Victorian Village and the Association for the Preservation of Tennessee Antiquities will host a project launch party on July 1, 4- 6 p.m., to celebrate the commencement of renovations on the historic James Lee House. The event will be at the James Lee House, 690 Adams.
The building has been vacant since 1959 and has been maintained and protected by the Association for the Preservation of Tennessee Antiquities over the years.
The event will include refreshments, entertainment and a preview of the plans with Mayor A C Wharton, Councilman Lee Harris, and new owners Jose and Jennifer Velazquez, J.W. Gibson and Cathy Buckman.
