New mayor and aldermen sworn in
Southaven Mayor Darren Musselwhite and the five new members of the Board of Aldermen were officially sworn in Monday at a ceremony at Snowden House on Getwell Road.

It was the second oath of office for Musselwhite, who was sworn in Friday after former mayor Greg Davis stepped down a few days before his fouryear term officially ended Monday.
The newest members to join the seven-member board are Kristan Kelly, representing Ward 1; Shirley Beshears, representing Ward 2; Joel Gallagher, representing Ward 4; Scott Ferguson, representing Ward 5, and Raymond Flores, representing Ward 6.
They join incumbents William Brooks, t he at-large alderman, and George Payne, representing Ward 3.
The new mayor and board members will attend their f irst board meeting on Tuesday at 6 p.m. on its website the alert affects 903 customers.
The notice said the alert was issued after the Health Department was notified of a systemwide pressure loss in the water supply that was caused by a power outage following a storm. The alert was issued Friday.
A pressure loss can cause contaminants to siphon back in to the water, according to the Health Department notice, and the water is considered contaminated unable tests show it is safe. Until then, users are urged to boil water for one minute before consumption.
