G’town Chamber hosts annual golf fundraiser

The 24th annual Germantown Area Chamber Golf Classic was held last month at Germantown Country Club.

More than 100 golfers participat­ed on teams representi­ng Allen & Hoshall, Baptist Rehabilita­tion Germantown, city of Germantown, First Capital, First Tennessee Bank, Germantown Hardware, Hollingswo­rth Paving, InSouth Bank, Legacy Promotiona­l Group/AIA, Methodist Le Bonheur Germantown, MOOD: South Central, Pepsi Beverages Co., Rock 103, Senior Care Management Solutions, Spectrum Lighting & Controls, The Stern Cardiovasc­ular Foundation, Union University Germantown, UT Medical Group and Watkins-Uiberall.

Golfers enjoyed a “hot off the grill” lunch sponsored by Baptist Rehabilita­tion Germantown before teeing off. Rockin’ Robin’s DJs provided entertainm­ent at the 19th hole celebratio­n and Jets Pizza provided refreshmen­ts.

Every golfer received a door prize at the 19th hole. A trip to Pebble Beach, sponsored by Rock 103 was auctioned off while participan­ts waited for tournament results. The winning teams are:

First flight, first place: Summit team — Blake Biggs, Tim Carpenter, Patrick Morgan, Bryan Wimberly

First flight, second place: First Capital Bank team: Cary Califf, Jeremy Christophe­r, Richard Waley, Greg Wingo

Second flight, first place: Ed Alsup, Don Brown, George McCaughan, Bob Wilson

Second flight, second place: Hollingwor­th Paving team — Cary Fairless, Phillip Ramsey, Steve Ramsey, Wes Seal

The special contest winners are:

Most accurate drive — Rock Janda

Putting contest — Johnny Adams
