Health 1st Family Medical, located at 131 Miss. 309 S. in Byhalia, was recently selected Sustaining Member at the Byhalia Area Chamber of Commerce luncheon. The medical clinic, establishe­d eight years ago, was represente­d on behalf of family practition­ers and founders Jennifer McMinn and Tina Joyner by (from left) Jackie McDaniel, Megan Davis, Haley Elliott, Halie Huey, Vinita Raimey, Jamie Whaley, Cassy Arteaga and Anna Williams. Seven swimmers from Memphis Thunder Aquatic Club are continuing their athletic careers at the college level. A grand opening was held July 19 for the new fred’s Super Dollar location at 2110 Goodman Road E. in Southaven. Invited guests included Southaven Mayor Darren Musselwhit­e and representa­tives from the Southaven Chamber of Commerce. Zounds Hearing Aids, located at 6915 Crumpler Blvd Ste E, in Olive Branch, recently celebrated its opening with a ribbon cutting. Owners Joe and Gayle Pickler were present along with Olive Branch Mayor Scott Phillips. Several Zounds staff members, city aldermen, Olive Branch Chamber of Commerce staff and family and friends of the company were also present. Country Ford, 95 Goodman Road E. in Southaven, held a “Grand Re- opening” for its newly remodeled dealership July 19. Representa­tives of the Southaven Chamber of Commerce, Southaven Mayor Darren Musselwhit­e, Horn Lake Mayor Allen Latimer, Country Ford employees and invited guests were in attendance. Refreshmen­ts included hot dogs and snow cones. The July 19 grand opening of the fred’s Super Dollar, 2110 Goodman Road E. in Southaven, featured a performanc­e by members of the DeSoto Central High School band. Led by director Jabarie Glass, members of the Southaven High School choir performed the national anthem during the July 19 grand opening of fred’s Super Dollar at 2110 Goodman Road E.
