Ave Maria Gala Week dinner

Ave Maria’s fall Gala Week will kick off in September with its annual dinner recognizing individuals who are making our community a better place to live and conclude with its Father Leonard Oglesby Memorial Golf Tournament.

This year’s Gala Week Dinner will be held Sept 15 in Heffernan Hall at Christian Brothers High School, 5900 Walnut Grove. Dinner honorees are John Barzizza, former president of Southwestern Distributing; John Zoccola, managing partner of Zoccola Kaplan, PLLC; and posthumously, friend, donor, and volunteer Wanda Duke.

The dinner will recognize the professional and personal contributions of Barzizza, Zoccola and Duke to numerous Catholic, nonprofit, and civic organizations in the Greater Memphis area. The evening includes a cocktail reception at 6 p.m., followed by dinner at 7. The program will also include fun toasters, and the induction of the three honorees into Ave Maria’s Blessed Mother Society. Tickets for the dinner are $100/person or $800 for a table of eight.
