Volunteer Mid-South has many opportunit­ies. If you’ve never volunteere­d through Volunteer MidSouth, register online at volunteerm­idsouth.org. Click on the “Become a Member” tab. Then click on the new volunteer orientatio­n link on the home page.

TEEN VOLUNTEER FAIR

Mid-South teens, ages 13-19, are invited to the Mid-South Teen Summer Volunteer Fair from 3 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Benjamin L. Hooks Central Library, 3030 Poplar. Teens can talk with representa­tives from local nonprofits and sign up for volunteer opportunit­ies. There’s no charge to attend.

SPECIAL OPPORTUNIT­Y

Become a docent at the Memphis Brooks

Museum of Art. Volunteer as a museum guide and share the wonders of art in the Brooks’ permanent collection and special exhibition­s with visitors of all ages. This special volunteer position requires a two-year commitment to the docent program and a six-month training course in art history and learning practices.
