Diabetes education to be topic June 28

The city of Hernando invites the public for a free diabetic education day on June 28 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. with some of DeSoto County’s top physicians.

Drs. Michael Doran, podiatrist; Debashis Biswas, neurologist; and Amit Malhotra, cardiologist, will be at the Gale Center, 2601 Elm Street, for “Diabetes and a Healthy You.”

They will talk about managing diabetes and will conduct a question-andanswer session for those dealing with diabetes, said Gia Matheny, Hernando’s director of community development.

Food and beverages will be provided by Foot Health Centers, foot and ankle specialists.
