DOJ charges unfair

I am a recently retired FedEx senior manager. That notwithstanding, any objective person would agree that the Justice Dept. charges against FedEx for allegedly scheming to traffic in illegal drugs and money laundering border on the ridiculous (March 27 article, “FedEx cites carrier law to deflect drug suit”).

DOJ blames FedEx for accepting and delivering shipments from customers who were selling pills to its customers without a doctor’s prescription. FedEx ships over 10 million packages a day. To suggest that it is responsible for knowing the contents of each of these packages is absurd.
