Wells and Wyle have baby girl

-

Noah Wyle and his wife welcomed a baby girl this week.

Wyle’s wife, actress Sara Wells, gave birth to Frances Harper Wyle on Monday, the actor’s spokeswoman said.

Mother and daughter are doing well, and Wyle was described as being “over the moon.”

Wyle and Wells married last summer at his Santa Barbara, California, ranch. Wyle has a son and daughter from his first marriage, to Tracy Warbin.

Wyle, who gained fame in the hit medical drama “ER,” stars in TNT’s “Falling Skies,” which begins its fifth and final season Sunday.

Wells’ TV credits include “Nip/ Tuck” and “Californication.”

Armstrong, Jones join in song

Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong and singer Norah Jones appeared in a rare concert together Wednesday night, playing songs they recorded for an album two years ago.

The concert wasn’t widely announced, and the two performed for about 200 fans in a cellar-like setting called the Bowery Electric in Manhattan. The hour-long performance included songs from their 2013 album, “Foreverly,” a collection of songs inspired by “Songs Our Daddy Taught Us,” an album released by The Everly Brothers in 1958.

Armstrong played guitar and sang, while Jones switched between guitar and piano. The duo’s band also included drums, a standup bass and, at times, a violin and a harmonica.

Together, their voices made for a soothing performance far different than Armstrong’s rock performances with Green Day, which recently was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

No other performances were announced.

Jones’ band, Puss N Boots, is slated to open for Neil Young during a series of dates in July.

Def Leppard guitarist plays on

Cancer can’t stop Vivian Campbell from rocking out with Def Leppard.

His publicist confirmed Wednesday that doctors have given Campbell a treatment regimen that will allow him to avoid radiation and join his band’s tour Saturday in Birmingham, Alabama.

“So, so happy to report that I’ve dodged the bullet of radiation,” Campbell posted on his Facebook page on Monday. “I was due to start a course that would have sidelined me for most of the first leg of the US tour, but my brilliant doctors have steered me towards an alternative course of treatment that will enable me to rejoin the tour.”

The 52-year-old guitarist was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma in 2013.

Def Leppard has announced tour dates through January 2016.
