Timberwolv­es trade with Cavaliers for Duke guard Jones

The Bucks sent a 2017 lottery-protected firstround pick and the 46th pick in Thursday’s draft to the Raptors. The pick was acquired last summer in the trade that brought Jared Dudley from the Los Angeles Clippers.

Vasquez has one year remaining on his contract at $6.6 million. He is a career 35.6 percent shooter from 3-point range and shot 37.9 percent from beyond the arc last season. In 82 games with the Raptors last season, he averaged 9.5 points and 3.7 assists.

The former Maryland star was drafted by the Grizzlies in 2010 and also played for New Orleans and Sacramento before being traded to Toronto in December 2013. He resigned last summer with the Raptors.

HAWKS DEAL FOR KNICKS’ HARDAWAY

The Atlanta Hawks made two draft-night trades — and ended up with NBA veteran Tim Hardaway Jr. Thursday night.

The Hawks picked small forward Kelly Oubre No. 15 overall in the first round. The Hawks sent Oubre to the Wizards for the No. 19 pick and two future second-round picks.

Twenty minutes later, Tyus Jones was drafted by the Cleveland Cavaliers on Thursday night, who then shipped the Duke guard to the Minnesota Timberwolv­es for the No. 31 and 36 picks. the Wizards picked Jerian Grant for the Hawks, who sent the point guard from Notre Dame to the Knicks for Hardaway.

Hardaway, a 6-6 shooting guard, played two seasons with the Knicks after being the No. 24 pick in the 2013 draft. In 70 games last year, Hardaway averaged 11.5 points, 2.2 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 24.0 minutes.

In essence, the Hawks traded a first-round pick for a bench player.

Hardaway, 23, is entering the final year of his rookie contract and will earn $1.3 million. .

Hardaway played three seasons at Michigan. He is the son of former NBA AllStar Tim Hardaway.

HORNETS TRADE 2ND-ROUND PICK

General manager Rich Cho said the Charlotte Hornets have traded swingman Juan Vaulet from Argentina to the Brooklyn Nets for two second round picks in 2018 and 2019.

Vaulet was the 39th overall pick Thursday night.

The 6-6, 200-pound Vaulet is the first player to be drafted from Argentina since Carlos Delfino in 2003.

He is the first player to be selected directly from the Argentina League since Jorge Gonzalez, a 7-7, 400-pound center who was taken by the Hawks in 1988.
