WHERE THE FLAGS WILL FLY ON 4TH OF JULY

Because July 4 falls on Saturday this year, many government agencies are observing the holiday today. Some offices will be closed and some trash collection schedules will be altered:

Arlington: Town Hall will be closed today. No change in sanitation service.

Bartlett: City Hall will be closed today, but sanitation service will stay on its regular schedule. The Bartlett Public Library will be closed today and Saturday. The Bartlett Recreation Center will be open from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. today, but will be closed Saturday.

Colliervil­le: Town offices will be closed today. Trash collection will not be affected.

Germantown: City Hall will be closed today. Trash collection will not be affected.

Lakeland: City Hall and the Senior Center will be closed today.

Memphis: Except for public safety and other essential services, city offices are closed today, and city solid waste crews collected trash Thursday instead of today. Trash collection­s by Inman will not be affected. The Memphis Public Library and its branches are closed today and Saturday.

Millington: City offices will be closed today. Friday’s trash collection­s were picked up Thursday.

Shelby County: Offices will be closed today.

DeSoto County: Offices will be closed today. Garbage and rubbish collection in unincorpor­ated areas of the county will be unaffected. The county rubbish facility on Sandidge Road in Olive Branch will be closed today and Saturday.

Hernando, Horn Lake, Olive Branch, Southaven: Offices will be closed today. Garbage collection is unaffected, but Friday rubbish collection in Hernando was picked up Thursday.
