Man hospitalized after stabbing

Memphis police officers on Saturday afternoon responded to a call involving an aggravated assault at 4668 Casann in Raleigh.

The complainant said her son had been stabbed. Officers found the victim in a back bedroom with a stab wound on his upperleft chest.

The mother said the suspect, James Starnes, was in the home tattooing the victim. A witness said the suspect attacked his wife, Anna Jones. The victim and the witness asked the suspect to leave the house. An altercation ensued, resulting in the suspect grabbing a steak knife and stabbing the victim.

The suspect and his wife fled in a gray Mitsubishi sedan, taking the steak knife with them. The victim was transported to the Med in critical condition.
