Consignment sale helps kids’ charities

Love Home is focus of aid, support

- By Mylissa Horrocks

Now in its 14th year, the biannual KidsTown Children’s Consignment Sale continues to support the efforts of children’s charities in the Mid South.

The largest children’s consignment event in the Mid-South was held at Agricenter International.

For many years, KidsTown has made large donations of clothing and items to several local charities that serve children. Beginning last year, KidsTown was able to start supporting Mid-South Love Home, a community of care for pregnant mothers who need assistance.

The home provides a place to live during pregnancy, as well as support services to break the cycle of poverty, joblessness and poor parenting.

“Because of the generosity of KidsTown, we have been able to provide clothes for these babies every season as they grow and these moms are so very grateful,” said founder Paige Kimberlain. “They could never afford to have such nice clothes and baby items, and we are so thankful for the KidsTown Community.”
