When it comes to dramatic plays with polarizing characters and themes, it’s hard to match Jerome Lawrence and Robert Edwin Lee’s play, “Inherit the Wind.”

But, the youth cast at Germantown Community Theatre mastered the high intensity drama of this play based on the real Scopes Trial held in Dayton, TN in 1925 that elevated the debate about the teaching of evolution in the public schools.

The play is directed by Ryan Kathman and sports a large cast including Ben Chapell, Zephyr Barlow, Jonathan Gibson, Maggie Luther, Emma Johnson and Gabby Velasquez, just to name a few.

Showtimes are Fridays and Saturdays at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. The play runs through August 9. For tickets or more info, go to gctcomeplay.com.
