Bartlett Performing Arts and Conference Center, 3663 Appling Road, presents the “A Snake in the Grass,” April 21-23 at 7 p.m. and April 24 at 2:30 p.m. BPACC’s profession­al theater troupe continues this season’s murder mystery theme with Alan Ayckbourn’s classic thriller. Annabel Chester returns home to her sister after the death of their abusive father only to be confronted by a blackmail plot, which quickly escalates out of hand with grim consequenc­es. Friends of the Bartlett Library’s annual Book Sale is this weekend at Bartlett Station Municipal Center Banquet Hall, 5884 Stage Road. Featuring 15-20,000 books and recorded media for children and adults, with prices between 25 cents and $2. Proceeds benefit the Bartlett Library. In honor of Bartlett’s 150th anniversar­y, the Bartlett Historical Society presents History Weekend “Bartlett

Memories” Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Sunday, from 2-5 p.m. Visitors can see Bartlett history come alive by meeting people from the past. Starting at the Bartlett Museum/Gotten House, 2969 Court St., there will be a walking tour of historic homes and churches, a vintage car display, a stagecoach on display and carriage rides. At Bartlett High School, 5688 Woodlawn, there will be displays of historic organizati­ons in Bartlett and people portraying historical figures.

The second annual Lakeland K-5 5K will be 8 a.m. April 23 starting at Lakeland Elementary School, 10050 Oakseed Lane. The registrati­on cost is $30.
