A woman has been charged with kidnapping, carjacking and robbing a another woman and then filing a false report telling police the victim stole from her, according to an arrest affidavit.

Beverly Wilson, 34, was arrested Monday in connection with the March 14 incident.

According to an arrest affidavit, the victim told police she was in her 2004 Nissan Maxima in front of the apartment complex in the 3400 block of Mediterranean Drive in the Parkway Village area when Wilson and six armed men pulled up behind her car.

She told police that while one of the men pointed a gun at her, Wilson demanded money.

The man then pulled the victim out of the car and punched her in the face, according to the arrest affidavit. The victim was put in the trunk of her car and she was driven around the complex. The suspects then took her into an apartment, where she was beaten by several men and thrown in a closet.

The victim told police that Wilson got her out of the closet, drove her around the apartment complex and released her.

The suspects stole the victim’s car, $2,500 and other property, police said. Wilson was identified by the victim from a police photo lineup.

Police said Wilson came to the Mt. Moriah precinct Monday where she told investigators that she participated in the robbery, carjacking and kidnapping.

“Wilson also advised that she filed a false theft report against the victim in an attempt to cover up the crime,” investigators said in the affidavit.

Wilson remains in jail on a $100,000 bond. No other suspects have been arrested in the incident.
