Race for the Cure aims to draw 15K
Organizers of the 2016 Race for the Cure are aiming to attract 15,000 runners and walkers to participate when the Oct. 29 event is held for the second year in Downtown.
Susan G. Komen Memphis-Mid-South on Monday released a new race route that includes more exposure to development hot spots along South Main and South Front streets.
The race raises money to fight breast cancer. Last year, when it moved Downtown from the suburbs, about 10,000 participated.
Registration is open at komenmemphis.org.
