The Southaven Junior Open Golf Tournament is Wednesday at Southaven Golf Center, 8925 Swinnea Road. Tournament is free and consists of five age groups: 6-7, 8-10, 11-12, 13-14 and 15-17. DeSoto Family Theatre presents “Oklahoma” at the Landers Center Theatre, 4560 Venture Drive, starting Friday. Set in western Indian Territory just after the turn of the century, the high-spirited rivalry between the local farmers and cowboys provides the colorful background against which Curly, a handsome cowboy, and Laurey, a winsome farm girl, play out their love story. The Southaven Fire Academy for Kids is a fun-filled, educationa­l week in which children ages 8-12 learn and apply aspects of safety, including motor vehicle safety, fire safety, first aid, bicycle safety as well as experience what it’s like to be a firefighte­r. The Stars in Motion KidFit Camp runs through Aug. 2, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., at Stars in Motion, 3370 Goodman Road. KidFit Camp is an active alternativ­e to traditiona­l childcare for boys and girls entering kindergart­en through sixth grade.
