The Metal Museum, 374 Metal Museum Drive, presents Iron For Honor Aug. 14 through Nov. 6. Curated by Anne-Forschler-Tarrasch Ph.D., Iron For Honor showcases 38 pieces of European cast-iron jewelry from the collection of the Birmingham Museum of Art. Around the year 1810, three Royal Prussian Iron Foundries began producing delicate cast-iron jewelry, which became enormously popular during the Wars of Liberation against Napoleon’s hegemony in Europe. Admission is $6 for adults, $5 for seniors and $4 for students.
