The man accused of a horrific mass stabbing in Boise, Idaho, appears to have lived in Memphis, according to records.

Timmy Kinner, 30, is charged with stabbing nine people at a child’s birthday party on Saturday, including six children and three adults. Eight of the victims survived, but the 3-year-old birthday girl died.

The victims come from refugee families from Syria, Iraq and Ethiopia, police said, and the case has led to national attention and hundreds of people rallying in Boise to show support. Boise police Chief William Bones said Kinner had recently been kicked out of an apartment where he had been staying, and took revenge on innocent people. He also said Kinner is an American and not a refugee.

The Idaho Statesman newspaper says a prosecutor has described Kinner as homeless, and that he has an extensive criminal record in states including Utah and Tennessee, with charges ranging to reckless driving to sexual battery.

The newspaper doesn’t mention a Tennessee city, but the charges listed match several filed in Shelby County between 2012 and 2015, including a 2015 arrest on drug, gun and theft charges.

Representatives of the Memphis police and Shelby County Sheriff’s office said they couldn’t confirm the Idaho suspect had lived in Memphis. However, a mug shot of the Timmy Kinner arrested in Shelby County bears a close resemblance to a mug shot released by the Ada County Sheriff’s Office in Idaho.

And the Timmy Kinner mentioned in the records in Memphis was born in 1988, the same as the suspect in Idaho.

On Tuesday, people were shooting off fireworks in the street near the Orange Mound house that’s listed on several of Kinner’s Memphis arrest records. A man sitting on the porch of the home said the people who know Kinner weren’t home.
