Man arrested for Tuesday night shooting spree at Hillview Apartments

Multiple people were wounded on Tuesday night during a disturbanc­e at the Hillview Apartments in South Memphis, Memphis police officials said.

Glen Miller, 26, who also was shot in the ruckus and is listed by police as the first victim, was charged with six counts of aggravated assault.

According to police, Miller flagged down officers on East Alcy Road at about 8:34 p.m. and said he’d been shot while at the apartment complex.

He told the officers he walked up to a large group of people when suddenly shots were fired. Miller said he didn’t know who shot him and had never seen the suspect.

He was taken to the Regional Medical Center in critical condition.

At the apartment complex, a victim said a group of people were in an argument when someone started shooting, but he didn’t know who shot him. He was also taken to the Regional Medical Center in critical condition.

A third shooting victim was taken by private vehicle to Methodist South Hospital with a noncritica­l wound to the upper right thigh.

A fourth victim was shot in the left shoulder and was taken to the Regional Medical Center in a private vehicle. Their injury was noncritica­l.

Police said the fifth and sixth victims were inside their apartment when a bullet went through their window. The fifth victim was struck across her chest by a piece of glass. She was treated at the scene and refused transport to the hospital.
