Start Thanksgiving early with Commercial Appeal

The Commercial Appeal’s biggest edition of the year, the Thanksgiving Day newspaper, will be available earlier than ever the day before Thanksgiving at select retailers.

The edition will feature Black Friday sale inserts and high-dollar savings ads for some 40 local and national retailers, with hundreds of dollars of savings.

You’ll find the early Thanksgiving newspaper at retailers on Wednesday, Nov. 21. Among those carrying the early edition: Kroger, Walmart, Walgreens, Mapco, Circle K and Hop In outlets.

In addition, the Thanksgiving edition will include a piece on Patrick Taylor, a running back for the University of Memphis who is a frequent volunteer including spending time with team events at Le Bonheur.

Julia Trumpy, who holds free classes each week at the Collierville public library to help give young kids a head start in STEM.

Souper Contact, a soup kitchen at Rhodes College, run entirely by student volunteers.

Diane McNeil, who is working to create a memorial for children who died in the Holocaust.

And we’ll print a massive Thanksgiving Day-only, two-page crossword puzzle.
