Funeral for 9-year-old killed in bus crash set for Dec. 15
Funeral arrangements for the 9-yearold who died when a bus carrying Memphis youth football players overturned in Arkansas on Monday have been made.
Kameron Johnson’s funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, at Serenity Funeral Home, according to the Memphis funeral home. A visitation will be 1-7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 14, at Serenity.
Kameron was a third-grader at Coleman Elementary and played for the Memphis Wolfpack football team in the Orange Mound Youth Association.
Kameron’s funeral expenses were paid for via fundraising efforts from the state-run Achievement School District, Aspire Schools and the School Seed Foundation, per a Facebook post from Kameron’s football team.
The bus crash occurred near Benton, Arkansas, and more than 40 students were injured and taken to area hospitals.
