With the regular season winding down, time is running out to see some of the best high school boys basketball talent in the Memphis area. Here are 15 players to watch before the season ends.
James Wiseman, East
The 7-foot Memphis signee is the top player in the country for the Class of 2019, according to the 247Sports composite. He is fifth in Shelby County in scoring at 22.5 points and has thrown down plenty of posterizing dunks. Some of the best players in the country have come to the Mid-south to take Wiseman on. He is a must-see player in this year's class.
DJ Jeffries, Olive Branch
Jeffries has shown the ability to take over games, like he did against Bartlett with 27 points and 11 rebounds. The Memphis signee is the top-ranked player in Mississippi, according to the 247Sports composite.
Chandler Lawson, Wooddale
Lawson, a 6-8 Oregon signee, is second in Shelby County in scoring at 23.2 points. Performances like his 27-point, 17-rebound and four-block night against Trezevant on Dec. 18 show why he is one of the top seniors around. Wooddale is ranked No. 3 in the Class AA AP poll.
Malcolm Dandridge, East
Wiseman understandably grabs a lot of the attention, but fellow Memphis signee Malcolm Dandridge has been one of the main reasons why Memphis East is the top-ranked team in the Class AAA AP poll.
Antavion Collum, Bartlett
The 6-7 Ole Miss signee leads Bartlett in scoring. He has the Panthers off to their best start since 2012 and looking like one of the best teams in Class AAA. They are ranked second in the AP poll.
