Police seek man who impersonated MPD officer

Memphis police are searching for a man accused of impersonating an officer on Jan. 31 inside a Dillard’s department store on 2700 N. Germantown Parkway.

Officers said the man was seen wearing a black protective vest with “police” written on the back and “MPD” written on the front. Officers said the vest carrier is not issued from the department.

The man walked into the store and noticed security looking at him, then immediately left, according to police.
