Stars of ‘Christmas at Graceland 2’ include Grenier
Production crews are likely to start filming the third Hallmark film being shot at Graceland, “Christmas at Graceland 2,” on July 18, the films co-producer said Tuesday.
Ryan Westheimer, the co-producer of the upcoming film and the first two Graceland Hallmark films, said that the stars of the movie include Adrian Grenier, the star of the hit HBO series “Entourage,” and Kaitlin Doubleday.
Westheimer said the film would be shot at both the Graceland mansion and the newly opened Graceland Exhibition Center. Production should wrap by Aug. 9, he said. The film is not a sequel to “Wedding at Graceland.”
When asked if it would snow once again in Midtown Memphis this summer, like it did during production for the first “Christmas at Graceland” movie, Westheimer said, “It’s going to snow everywhere.” The film’s plot, Westheimer said, follows Doubleday’s character, who once worked at Graceland, as she searches for an art museum curation job. She interviews for an overseas position at the Brooks Museum of Art, and then a friend asks her to fill in as a Graceland tour guide. On that tour, she meets Grenier’s character, who asks her to nanny his three children. She accepts and stays at his guesthouse.
And, because it’s a Hallmark movie, Westheimer said, the pair falls in love.
Westheimer was scheduled to be honored by Memphis Mayor Jim Strickland and the Memphis City Council for his work producing the two previous Graceland movies.
He said he’s honored and appreciative of the recognition and extolled the virtues of Memphis and Memphians.
Westheimer said he’s shot all over the world, but there’s something about Memphians and how they welcome outof-towners with open arms.
