De Niro drops F-bombs in CNN interview
Robert De Niro raised eyebrows Sunday morning, repeating a choice expletive twice in a live interview with CNN that ended up broadcasting two Fbombs without being censored.
While discussing his outspoken, blunt disdain for President Donald Trump, De Niro, 76, told Brian Stelter on CNN’S “Reliable Sources” that he believed Democrats have “no choice” but to impeach the president.
At the 2018 Tony Awards, De Niro made headlines when he exclaimed, “(Expletive) Trump!” onstage, though censors bleeped him before his cursing made it to the broadcast. Stelter brought up the incident, asking De Niro to clarify comments he made previously about Fox News coming after him as a result of the speech.
Ginger Baker ‘holding his own’
Ginger Baker, the English drummer who co-founded the rock band Cream with guitarist Eric Clapton, is “holding his own” less than a week after being hospitalized in critical condition.
Baker’s family announced on Facebook Thursday that the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer was “critically ill” and hospitalized. They asked Baker’s fans to “please keep him in your prayers.”
On Sunday, the drummer’s Twitter account followed up with a message thanking fans for their good wishes.
Thai cave rescue saga heads to film festival
Their story gripped the world: Determined divers racing against time and water to rescue 12 boys and their soccer coach trapped in a flooded cave in Thailand.
The ordeal last year had barely ended when filmmakers began their own race to get the nail-biting drama onto cinema screens. The first of those projects, director Tom Waller’s “The Cave,” premieres at the Busan Film Festival in South Korea this weekend.
Waller filmed at the exterior of the actual Tham Luang cave and in water caves around the world.
