Memphis dealers will display hundreds of new 2019 and 2020 cars and trucks when the annual auto show kicks off Friday.

The Memphis Internatio­nal Auto Show will run Friday morning through Sunday afternoon inside the Memphis Convention Center at 255 N. Main St.

The Greater Memphis Auto Dealers Associatio­n, which includes more than 50 dealership­s, sponsors the show to raise money for charity and the auto mechanics’ school at Moore Tech.

The auto show typically attracts one of the largest crowds every year to the convention center.

Admission will cost adults $8 and is free for those 12 and under. Hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday.

Events scheduled during the show include the:

❚ Kids Test Drive, sponsored by Citgo, for children ages 3 to 9.

❚ Chevrolet Test Drive, which features models including Bolt, Camaro convertibl­e, Colorado, Cruze, Equinox, Malibu, Silverado and Traverse.

❚ Drive FCA, which features models including the Chrysler Pacifica and Pacifica Hybrid; Dodge Challenger, Charger and Durango; Fiat 124 Spider and 500X; and Jeep Compass and Gladiator.

Dealers say models that will be featured during the show include the Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck, Dodge Ram 2500 HD pickup, Hyundai Kona sport-utility vehicle, Hyundai Palisade sport-utility, Jeep Gladiator pickup, Toyota Highlander sport-utility and Volkswagen Atlas sport-utility.

A charity gala for Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital in Memphis will begin 6 p.m. Thursday in the convention center. Tickets are $50 in advance online at www.memphisaut­oshow.com and $75 at the door.
