Damon’s 9-year-old fell asleep (twice) watching drama

When it came to watching the thrilling race drama “Ford v Ferrari,” Matt Damon's 9-year-old had the need for ... a quick nap.

Damon admitted his daughter Stella, 9, had trouble staying awake watching a past-bedtime screening of the film where he stars as legendary race car designer Carroll Shelby alongside Christian Bale as driver/engineer Ken Miles.

To be fair, Stella saw the film with the family at the Los Angeles world premiere, and these evening events run very late by 9-year-old standards.

“It was a little past bedtime,” Damon said. “She said to me, ‘Dad, I fell asleep twice, but only for 10 seconds.' She said it was really exciting.”

Rodriguez’s 1998 ‘dream date’ was Lopez, and still is today

With wedding bells ringing for Alex Rodriguez and Jennifer Lopez, Jimmy Fallon took the former pro baseball player on a trip down memory lane Thursday on the “Tonight Show.”

After asking about wedding planning, Fallon played a video clip of Rodriguez in 1998, sporting a backward baseball cap and chewing gum.

“What would a dream date with Alex Rodriguez be?” the man behind the camera asks.

“Jennifer Lopez,” Rodriguez responds. “Hopefully you can find me a date with her.”

Laughing, Rodriguez reacts to the clip, “That means that dreams actually do come true in America.”

Rodriguez and Lopez were engaged in March.

West gives emotional performance of ‘Jesus is King’

Kanye West has followed the Johnny Cash route and performed for inmates at a Houston jail.

In secret from the public, the star rapper-turned-gospel singer performed songs Friday from his new gospel album “Jesus is King.” He and his choir performed for more than 200 male inmates at one jail facility before crossing the street to another jail and performing for a smaller crowd of women.

Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said West's representatives asked jail officials about doing secret shows.

The events were reminiscent of prison concerts given by country singer Johnny Cash in California, and were performed two days before West is to speak at Joel Osteen's vast Lakewood Church in Houston.
