New York – The gym teacher who disappeared two months ago with a 15-year-old student has surrendered and tried to justify their field trip through America’s cheap motels by painting himself as a rescuing knight, seeking to save “a beautiful person” from abuse at home. Looking pained but stoic, Glenn Harris, 33, turned himself in to school investigators in lower Manhattan. He has been ordered to have no communication with the student, Christina Rosado. Harris faces a possible 25-year prison sentence if convicted. “A student came to me with horrific tales of brutal family abuse that lasted over years and years,” he said, before turning himself in.
