Highway paving, construction, asphalt and aggregate industry operations Lehman-roberts Co. and sister company Memphis Stone & Gravel promoted Melanie Stinson to Human Resources manager. She joined the family of companies in 2010 as payroll coordinator and has since served as HR specialist and representative.
Dustin Fulton was named interim assistant dean for Admissions in the College of Medicine at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. He most recently served as associate director of student affairs and student conduct officer and has been with UTHSC since 2014.
The Baker Donelson law firm announced E. Franklin Childress Jr. has been elected to a two-year term on the board of directors of the American College of Bankruptcy Foundation. A shareholder in the firm's Memphis office, he is a member of the Corporate Restructuring and Bankruptcy Group and has experience representing secured and unsecured creditors and corporate debtors in reorganization and liquidation cases nationwide. Childress was inducted as a Fellow of the American College of Bankruptcy in 2013.
Memphis lawyer Alexander Hall on June 18 was presented with the Justice Joseph W. Henry Award for Outstanding Legal Writing during the Tennessee Bar Association's annual convention in Nashville. The award was established nearly 40 years ago, and is given each year to the lawyer who writes the most outstanding article that is published in the Tennessee Bar Journal for the preceding year. Named for Henry, a former chief justice of the Tennessee Supreme Court, the award is to encourage practicing Tennessee lawyers to write scholarly yet practical articles that will be of maximum benefit to the members of our bar. This year's winning article is "Place Your
Bets: Tennessee's Sports Gaming Act Begins July 1." Hall is an associate attorney at Shuttleworth PLLC practicing civil litigation, contract law, intellectual property and sports gaming law.
Memphis-based Tioga Environmental Consultants announced the full-time hiring of Alwyn Ambrose and Raymonde “Ramie” Bell. Serving as engineer interns, a professional path for an engineering graduate to earn a professional engineer license, both employees will assist Tioga engineers in evaluating facilities and assisting them to ensure they are operating in compliance with local, state and federal environmental regulations. Ambrose specializes in assessing and maintaining environmental, health and safety regulations for development projects and facility operations. She received a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Mississippi State University. Bell will be involved with projects related to wastewater, storm water, air pollution and hazardous waste. Her bachelor's degree in engineering
was earned from the University of Memphis.

Junior Achievement of Memphis and
the Mid-south, a nonprofit dedicated to helping local youth become world-ready, will bring financial literacy programming to 820 students across Memphis through three unique programs, thanks to the support of a grant from the Bank of America Charitable Foundation, including a new, virtual program in response to the coronavirus pandemic. JA Finance Park Virtual allows students to explore a simulation of their ideal career in their ideal city with a focus on personal finance. The grant awarded to Junior Achievement also will support programming that helps older students build a foundation for making intelligent financial decisions. It's part of Bank of America's recently announced $100 million to support communities worldwide.
