Here's a look at the Memphis-area Top Performers for Week 2 of the high school football season:

OFFENSE

Zach Baker, Arlington. Baker threw for 157 yards and one touchdown and ran for another in a 23-15 loss to ECS. Cannon Linebaugh, Arlington. Linebaugh caught four passes for 59 yards and one touchdown in a 23-15 loss to ECS.

Michael Dallas, Briarcrest. Dallas was nearly unstoppabl­e, accounting for all five of his team's touchdowns (four passing and one rushing) in the Saints' 35-27 win over Houston. He finished with 238 passing yards.

Max Carroll, Briarcrest. Carroll contribute­d nicely during the Saints' 35-27 victory at Houston, catching three passes for 68 yard and two scores. Jerrod Gentry, Briarcrest. Gentry caught seven passes for 122 yards and a pair off touchdown in a 35-27 win at Houston.

Dallan Hayden, CBHS. Hayden made the most of his 13 carries, rushing for 179 yards and two touchdowns in a

37-0 victory over FACS.

Eumorrion Flowers, Covington. Flowers ran the ball 31 times for 124 yards and one touchdown in a 20-13 triumph at Haywood.

Jaylen Greenwood, ECS. Greenwood rushed 25 times for 130 yards and two touchdowns in a 23-15 victory at Arlington.

Carson Goold, Houston. Goold had 84 yards receiving to go along with two touchdowns in a 35-27 loss to Briarcrest.

Josh Mathis, Houston. Mathis ran strong in a 35-27 loss to Briarcrest, finishing his night with 97 yards.

Gray Nischwitz, Houston. Nischwitz threw for 142 yards and three touchdowns in a 35-27 loss to Briarcrest. Traveon Hawkins, Munford. Hawkins carried the ball six times for 148 yards and two touchdowns in a 29-3 victory over Millington.

Auvic White, Munford. White rushed 12 times for 127 yards and one touchdown to help the Cougars defeat Millington, 29-3.

Hudson Brown, Northpoint. Brown tossed a pair of touchdowns (3 and 31 yards) in a 40-0 victory over Fayettewar­e.

Jackson Thomason, Northpoint. Thomason accounted for three Trojan touchdowns (two rushing and one INT return) in a 40-0 win over Fayette-ware.

DEFENSE

Dylan Keith, Arlington. Registered a team-high five tackles in a 23-15 loss to visiting ECS. He also had 61 receiving yards.

Tyler Pegues, FACS. Pegues led the Crusaders with four tackles in a 37-0 loss at CBHS.

Icarius Hodgin, Munford. Hodgin fueled the Cougars' unit with three intercepti­ons in 29-3 victory over Millington. He also contribute­d a receiving TD.
